Security
The objective of FA.I.P. S.n.c. is to produce burglar proof doors with characteristics suitable to assure the customer with the highest security of the goods purchased, testing some models against intrusion according to UNI 9569 specification and ENV 1627-30. Excellent tests passed with certifications and test relations.

What about the regulation?
Since 1989 there has been a regulation, the UNI 9569 standard, which warrants and certifies the armoured doors. The italian regulations will be soon replaced by the new EN standards, which establish the same criteria for all european countries. Meanwhile, it has been launched an experimental european standards, the UNI ENV 1627-30 that replaced the UNI 9569. The UNI ENV grants the doors passing the tests an increasing merit class, from one to six, based on the resistance to conventional break in tests carried out by mechanical equipment and skilled operators.

Class Break in techniques End use
1 The burglar, inexpert, tries to force open the door by using physical violence,
for example: pushes, hits, pushes with the shoulder, lifting, pulls.
Staircase landing doors with normal risk. Storehouse doors with a low intrinsic value.
2 The burglar, occasional, tries to force open the door by using simple tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wedges. Staircase landing doors with considerable risk. Offices and industrial buildings, high class houses.
3 The burglar, tries to break into by using, in addition to the above, other screwdrivers and a crow-bar. Staircase landing doors with considerable risk. Offices of industrial buildings, town houses.
4 The burglar uses, in addition to the above, saws, hammers, chisels and
portable battery drills.
Banks, watch maker’s shops, hospitals, industrial plants and laboratories, high class town houses.
5 The burglar uses, in addition to the above, electrical tools, drills, sabre-saws
and angle grinding wheels with a disk heaving 125 mm maximum diameter.
Banks, watch maker’s and jeweller’s shops, storage of reserved documents, generally militar environment and embassies.
6 The burglar, expert, uses, in addition to the above, high power electrical tools, sabre-saws and angle grinding wheels with a disk heaving 230 mm maximum diameter. Banks, watch maker’s and jeweller’s shops, nuclear plants, storage of reserved documents, militar environment and embassies.
The door being tested to be approved for a given class, must resist to the various breakings for an operative time which varies as a function of the classes, from 3 to 20 minutes. It is important to underline that this time is extremely long when compared to a real breaking in situation, where the burglar does not act in a continous violent mode as the technicians do while they execute the test. The burglar, indeed, is compelled to interrupt his attack to keep an eye on the situation and, above all, he must act trying to contain the noise. The tests, to be considered valid, must be executed by certified and authorized organisations.
